Our Apps and Games
Every app and game we publish is built to collect nothing. There’s no account to create, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party tracking tools built in. Anything the app remembers about you, like your settings, scores, or progress, stays on your own device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
Information We Collect
- If you subscribe: your email address, used to send you updates.
- If you contact us or use the “Support” form: your email address and whatever you write, used to answer you.
- If you browse the site: sadpixel.com sets no cookies of its own. See Third Parties We Use and Cookies and Tracking below for what our hosting and form providers do.
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to send updates, to respond to you directly, and to keep the subscriber list accurate. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build behavioral profiles for sale to third parties.
Third Parties We Use
- MailerLite: manages the subscriber list, delivers updates, and tracks opens and link clicks so we can see whether an email was useful. It processes your email address under its own privacy and security practices.
- Resend: delivers the notification email we receive when you submit the “Support” form – it processes your submission’s contents solely to send us that one email.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and provides built-in analytics to see aggregate traffic such as page views, country, and browser type; it does not use cookies for this and does not identify you individually. Cloudflare also provides Turnstile, which checks that whoever submits the subscribe form or the “Support” form is a person, not a bot, before we act on the submission. Turnstile may set its own cookies or use browser local storage as part of that check, and processes signals such as your IP address and browser information to do so, under Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Policy Addendum.
Cookies and Tracking
Cloudflare’s analytics is cookieless. Cloudflare Turnstile, which screens the subscribe form and the “Support” form for bots, may set its own cookies or use local storage wherever either form appears. Emails sent through MailerLite may include tracking pixels and link-tracking to measure opens and clicks, standard practice for email newsletters. Outside of those two forms, no other page on the site sets cookies.
Data Retention
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, or as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our active systems.
Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you live, and consistent with the CCPA, CalOPPA, and GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- Unsubscribing: every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you immediately.
- Access and know: you can request a report of what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Correction: you can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: you can request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal exceptions.
- Objection and restriction: you can object to, or ask us to restrict, how we process your personal information.
- Portability: you can request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
- No sale: we do not sell your personal information for money.
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or reduce the quality of our updates because you exercised any of these rights.
- Do Not Track: our site does not currently alter its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
We process your email address for updates based on your consent when you subscribe, and correspondence based on our legitimate interest in responding to you. Your information is stored and processed in the United States; we rely on our processors’ standard safeguards for data transferred from the EEA or UK. If you are located in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children’s Privacy
sadpixel.com and our apps and games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
